CCTV footage of a WEREWOLF terrifies locals who fear it is stalking the town

THIS clip, taken from a garden in Brazil, has terrified locals who believe it to be a WEREWOLF.

The grainy CCTV footage shows a dark creature coming out of the trees and pacing around on all fours before vanishing again
And it isn't the first time it has been spotted in the town of São Gonçalo de Campos, near Feira de Santana, in the state of Bahia.
The first person to have seen the legendary beast was a local man called Pingo.
He described it as a five-foot black monster that charged at him.
Pingo's tale of only just escaping with his life was initially met with laughter but now other locals have made reports of sightings.
A close-up shot of the mythical being has split commenters, with some believing it to be a man wearing a gorilla suit, while others believing it to have a "wolf-shaped head".
The government has slapped a 9pm curfew on the town, clearly taking the reports of the wandering beast seriously.

Dog ate my baby's head Mum's screams as six-day-old daughter savaged

A FRANTIC mum screamed: “The dog ate my baby’s head” just moments after her six-day-old baby was savaged to death in their family home.

Anguished Sharon John, 42, ran to her neighbours in shock after her newborn girl was found dead next to their Husky-like pet called Nisha.
Mother-of-three Sharon cried out: “I don’t know what to do. The dog ate my baby’s head.”
Tragic Eliza-Mae spent three days in an intensive care unit in hospital after she was born last week.
She had only come home at the weekend - and had spent just two nights in her nursery at the family home before her tragic death.
Mum Sharon was shaking in terror when she spoke to neighbour Patricia Punter just minutes after police were called to her home in a quiet Welsh country village at breakfast time.
Patricia, 71, said: “It was terrible — I’ve never heard anything like it. Sharon was in a state of shock and just screaming.
“She just kept on saying: “The dog ate my baby’s head. He’s blaming me for it — the baby’s gone.”
Sharon's partner Patric Mullane, 33, brought the Alaskan Malamute, named Nisha, home from a night out at the pub.
Mrs Punter said: “They’d had the dog for a few months because Pat is really soft for dogs.
“He brought it home from the pub because someone had told him they were going to get rid of it.
“Nisha was about five or six years old but looked older. I think it may have badly treated in the past.
“God only knows what has gone on in there. But Sharon was in bits — she was with a policeman and they wouldn’t let her back into the house.
“She came into my house to use the toilet and that’s when she told me what happened to the baby.
“She’d only brought the baby home in the last week. It is just awful — they loved their dogs as much as their children.”
Sharon has two other children in their terraced house in the village of Pontyberem, near Carmarthen, South Wales.
The family also have another pet dog, a terrier called Roxy, who was later being looked after by Mrs Punter.
Nisha was seized by police investigating the tragic death.
Neighbour Jennifer Brown, 66, told how she caught the dog after the attack as it wandered the street — and handed it over to police.
Mrs Brown said: “I looked outside my front window and saw the dog by the ambulance.
“The dog was just walking about and I went out and caught it and handed it to the police.
“It’s a big dog and white around the mouth — but I didn’t see anything that caught my eye to say anything had gone on.
“It walked along the pavement and I thought it was strange because people don’t normally let their dogs wander the street.
“I hadn’t seen the dog on the street before but I called it over from the ambulance.
“It came to me and I said: “Go home” but instead it went to our neighbours' porch and ate their cat’s food.
“I got it to come back out and led it down to the house where all the police were and handed it over to them.
“They put it in the back of the police car.”
Chief Inspector Ieuan Matthews at the scene said the girl was dead by the time the ambulance arrived in the quiet street.
The family went with the baby to the University Hospital of Wales in Cardiff where they spent “some time” with her body.
Chief Insp Matthews said: “It's a really tragic incident that we're at the early stages of investigating, our hearts as individuals, and as a police service go out to the parents, the family and the wider community.
"As part of our inquiry we have taken into possession the family dog, it's an Alaskan Malamute-type dog and that is with us while inquiries continue.
"We have specially trained liaison officers helping the family through this difficult time.
"The family are hugely distressed."
Police confirmed a post mortem examination will be held to investigate the cause of death before they would confirm it was a dog attack.
The Alaskan Malamute is similar to a husky and is not a banned breed.
The Alaskan Malamute Club of the United Kingdom describes the breed as a “affectionate, friendly, loyal, devoted companion” on its website.
It says an ideal Alaskan Malamute is ’heavily boned, powerfully built’ — and also very intelligent animals, though they can be hard to train.
Neighbours said they often saw the black and white dog on a lead with the couple. They would tie it up outside a local supermarket where children would stroke it.
Ann Williams, 69, said: “It wasn’t a savage dog. It would let children pet it and it was a very attractive animal.”
But another neighbour said the dog had escaped the night before because a nearby bitch was in season.
He said: “Another neighbour found it and took it home. Perhaps the dog was feeling wound up.”
Alan Lewis, chairman of Pontyberem Community Council said: “We are just horrified with what’s happened and our thoughts go out to the family involved.”
He said Pontyberem was a small, quiet village where “everybody looks out for each other”.
The village, population 2,700, was in a state of shock at the tragedy.
Fellow community councillor Alban Rees, said: “This is a young family and a young life has been lost.
“This is the first time I’ve come across anything like this. But the community will be extremely supportive and do anything to help the family involved.”

Watch chilling footage of 'ghost' caught on CCTV at one of UK's oldest pubs

Staff at Ye Olde Man and Scythe in Bolton spotted the spooky spectre when they checked the cameras on Friday morning and found they had mysteriously stopped recording at 6.18am

Spooked staff at one of the oldest pubs in Britain believe they have caught a ghost on CCTV.
The chilling footage, which appears to show a shadowy figure flickering into view by the bar, was filmed at Ye Olde Man and Scythe in Bolton.
Manager Tony Dooley spotted the spectre when he checked the cameras on Friday morning and found they had mysteriously stopped recording at 6.18am.
"I came down and saw a glass smashed on the floor so I was instantly suspicious and went to check the CCTV and found it has stopped working," he told the Manchester Evening News.
"We checked the footage and it revealed this figure.
"To be honest I was a bit concerned - I'm a bit of a sceptic when it comes to ghosts but you become more of a believer when you see things like that."
The pub, which dates from 1251, is the fourth-oldest pub in Britain and is reputedly haunted by the Seventh Earl of Derby, James Stanley.
The royalist, whose family originally owned the inn, is said to have spent the last hours of his life there before he was beheaded in 1651 towards the end of the Civil War.The chair he sat in before he was taken outside and executed is still in the pub today - and some say so is he.
Hundreds of soldiers and civilians were also killed outside the pub in the Bolton Massacre of 1644.
With such a bloody history, it has long been considered a hotspot for paranormal activity and a psychic evening held there in 2006 reportedly found it to be haunted by at least 25 spirits.
Among them is said to be a woman who hung herself in the cellar several centuries ago as well as an eight-year-old girl and a phantom dog.
"There have always been rumours it is haunted and we've had psychic readings done here in the past," said Tony.
"Occasionally you hear things and wonder if it's just the building settling down or whether it's something else.
"It's the fourth-oldest pub in Great Britain so it's had its fair share of deaths and whatnot."

Dog seized after sudden death of baby in Pontyberem

Police are investigating after officers were called to a property at around 8.30am this morning

Police are investigating following the sudden death of a baby in a village in Wales.
Officers were called to a property in New Road, Pontyberem, in Carmarthenshire, around 8.30am this morning.
A Dyfed-Powys Police spokesman said: "A police investigation is underway following the sudden death of an infant at a property in Pontyberem.
"Inquiries are still at an early stage with the call being received shortly before 8.30am.
"Further updates will be made available as appropriate."
The family dog has been seized as part of the inquiry.
Early, and as yet unconfirmed, reports suggest the animal is an Alaskan Malamute, which is not a banned breed.
However, police said the breed and type of dog seized is not being released at this stage.

VIDEO: Football match halted after dog runs onto pitch and does poo at packed stadium

FOOTBALL stars often have to deal with distractions like flares and angry fans but rarely do they run into a problem like this.

A dog halted a top-flight football match in Argentina after it ran onto the pitch and defecated on the grass in front of stunned players and officials.

The naughty pooch evaded security and ran onto the green where it made its feeling clear about the game between Rosario Central and River Plate.

The cheeky mutt used the football pitch as a toilet on the 70th minute in front of thousands of fans before being chased around by staff trying to catch it.The match was stopped for five minutes as stewards and players attempted to get the dog off the pitch on Sunday night.

Eventually it was carried off the pitch while one unfortunate official had to clear up the mess the dog left behind.

The match was being played in Argentina's top football division and both teams had the chance to go top of the table.

The game was being played at Rosario Central's ground the Estadio Gigante de Arroyito which has a capacity crowd of more than 41,000.

The Big British Immigration Row: Hard working Britons have had enough, says Katie Hopkins

KATIE Hopkins was at the centre of a number of heated debates about border controls on The Big British Immigration Row: Live last night.
The opinionated columnist said that hard working Britons have "had enough" of the immigration issue and Britain tackles the topic with a "soft touch".

The ex-Apprentice star said the country's schools and hospitals are "full" and that the UK should only let in "tier one" individuals who are skilled.

Talking about the issue on the Channel 5 programme, Mrs Hopkins said: "Nobody is standing up for the people at home who have had enough of immigration.

"Of queuing for school places, at doctors. Frankly, if you need an interpreter to get a doctor's appointment you shouldn't be using our NHS.

"If you need an interpreter then you need a travel agent and should get packing.

"Hard working people in this country have had enough."Mrs Hopkins also came to blows with fellow former Apprentice star Luisa Zissman who is in favour of immigration.

Miss Zissman was giving her reasons for why she was in favour of immigration when Mrs Hopkins abruptly interrupted her to say she disagreed.

Miss Zissman said: "I think British people don't work hard enough. British people always say immigrants are coming in and taking our jobs - they're not. Some of the jobs immigrants are doing are the ones British people won't do.

"Every economy needs jobs that are low wage."

Then Mrs Hopkins cut in: "Wiffle piffle. There are plenty of people who aren't getting off their a**** and doing work.

"We need to get lazy British people out to work."
Mrs Hopkins last year controversially linked children's names to class and said that would determine whether she'd let them play with her son and daughters.

And she caused anger among the audience when she was asked whether she would let her children play with a youngster called Muhammad.

Mrs Hopkins said: "If you go into a playground and shout Muhammad you would probably get 100 kids running towards you.

"Auntie won't have this debate because they're afraid of people calling us racist.

"I do not make stupid statements, I stand up for people who feel what I feel.

"I am not a racist because I believe there should be a universal treatment for everyone."

Elsewhere on the debate, an interview was broadcast of radical preacher Anjem Choudary with Nick Ferrari who was hosting the debate with Anne Diamond.

Choudary warned Britain that the death of Fusilier Lee Rigby may not be a one-off shock incident.

The extremist Muslim cleric said "there will be other Lee Rigbys" on UK shores.
The former spokesman for Islam4UK did not condemn the killing of Fusilier Rigby and claimed British soldiers are going to Muslim countries and "killing people".

Choudary said: "Afghanistan is not occupying Britain. Britain (sic) are going to Muslim countries and killing people.

"This will have repercussions in this country and unless we wake up to this fact, there will be other Lee Rigbys."

The father-of-one, 25, was murdered by Michael Adebowale, 22, and his accomplice Michael Adebolajo, 29 near Woolwich Barracks last May.

They were found guilty of murder last December and will be sentenced on February 20.
Choudary also said that immigrants hold a "fear factor" for people in the UK.

He was referring to results of a YouGov poll commissioned for The Big British Immigration Row: Live.

The exclusive research found out that 70 per cent of Britons want immigration to be reduced or stopped completely in the UK.

Choudary said: "There is a fear factor - that the foreigner is causing trouble for them".

He blamed the recession for this attitude and felt Britons thought that immigrants were putting a burden on the National Health Service.

Depressed factory worker is mauled by Chinese zoo's white tiger after offering HIMSELF up as food in front of horrified onlookers

Chinese zoo keepers managed to save the life of a mentally disturbed man after he announced he wanted to improve the lives of caged tigers at a local zoo by offering them his own body to eat.

Yang Jinhai, 27, had posted several online messages about how optimistic he was about starting a new life after getting a job as a security guard in Chengdu in southwest China's Sichuan province.
But he quickly found the job boring and monotonous and moved instead to a job in a printing factory where he also then resigned, saying that he felt there was more to life.
After going to the local zoo he wrote how depressing it was to see the ‘noble and magnificent tigers’ living in such humble surroundings, where they were caged and unable to follow their natural instincts to hunt and kill.
He then announced that he had decided to sacrifice himself in order to provide the Bengal tigers with support.
Eyewitness Feng Lin said: ‘He climbed up the outside of the cage and jumped inside expecting, I assume, that the tigers would pounce on him. Instead the two tigers, a male and a female, seemed more nervous than anything else and the female actually ran off.
‘He then tried to antagonise the tigers by pulling faces at them. Eventually he was attacked by the male where he was cut after being scratched and bitten before he could be rescued by zoo keepers who fired a tranquilliser dart at the male tiger.’

They then pulled the man out of the cage.
Yang's family told local media Mr Jinhai had been depressed for a long time and said that he had been taken to a home where he was given psychiatric counselling to cope with his problems.

AN easyJet plane comes within 6ft of disaster after being tossed around by a violent gust of wind in Britain’s wild winter.

Terrifying moment jet was flipped by gales
The Airbus A320’s wing almost smashed into the runway before the pilot pulled up and aborted the landing.
He and his co-pilot were the only people on board the flight, which was travelling at 150mph as it flew into Luton Airport in Beds at around 10am on Saturday.
The experienced pilot, who had already aborted one landing before the dicey second attempt, decided not to try a third time.
The 180-seat jet was instead diverted to Stansted in Essex.
Last night plane-spotter Trevor Nash, 52, of Watford, Herts, who took a dramatic sequence of snaps as the jet flew in, said: “I was sure it was going to crash.

“It would have headed towards the terminal, but the skill of the pilot saved the day.
“He rolled to the left, then there was this huge wind and he flipped over to the right.
“The wing was only 6ft off the ground. If it had hit, it would have been a disaster.”
The jet was flying back to its base at Luton from Egyptian Red Sea resort Sharm el-Sheikh.
Last night easyJet spokeswoman Anna Knowles said: “Although the pictures may appear dramatic, the winds were within operating limits.”

Meanwhile, officials denied claims that four aircraft unable to land at Heathrow had made distress calls during storms on Friday.

Katie Hopkins and Luisa Zissman in telly debate after 70% of Brits demand halt to migrants

A MASSIVE 70% of Brits want immigration to be stopped or slashed.
More than two-thirds also demand Brits get priority over migrants for jobs, while three in five say foreigners must speak English to stay here.
The YouGov poll was carried out for Channel 5 ahead of an explosive live telly debate on the hot topic tonight.
At 8pm The Big British Immigration Row will see celebs such as telly loudmouth Katie Hopkins, 38, and Celebrity Big Brother housemate Luisa Zissman, 26 lock horns.
Other guests include jailbird economist Vicky Pryce, 62, gobby TV star Vanessa Feltz, 51, and Sven Goran Eriksson’s former lover Nancy Dell’Olio, 52.
Senior politicians and migrants themselves will also be thrown into the boiling pot for the debate, which is hosted by Anne Diamond and Nick Ferrari.
Channel 5 director of programming Ben Frow said: “These survey results demonstrate that immigration is at the top of the agenda in today’s Britain.
“This live event is a timely and robust contribution to this vital national debate.
“This is a great opportunity to air all shades of opinion, and we’re sure The Big British Immigration Row: Live will be unmissable television.”

Millionaire music mogul Simon Cowell has published the first pictures of his newborn son on Twitter.

The X Factor judge takes to Twitter to post black and white pictures of his first child, who was born on Valentine's Day.
The 54-year-old posted three black and white images on the social networking site, where he has nearly 10 million followers.
The first, which shows Cowell cradling his baby seated next to American girlfriend Lauren Silverman, is captioned: "Mum, Dad and Eric. Now two days old."
The next is of the new arrival along with the post: "Now you can see how very handsome little Eric is."
A third shows a sleeping Eric lying on the chest of his father, who tweeted: "I never knew how much love and pride I would feel."
Eric, named after Cowell's father, was born on Valentine's Day, weighing 6lb 7oz.
The X Factor judge left the auditions for Britain's Got Talent to fly to New York to be by his partner's side for the birth.
Cowell took to Twitter to express his joy, saying: "Very happy to say Eric was born at 17.45pm. Healthy and handsome. Lauren in great shape. Thanks for all of your kind messages. Named after my dad."
Cowell's father died of a heart attack in 1999, aged 81, and the star has previously described him as a "brilliant mentor".

The co-pilot of a hijacked plane has been arrested in Switzerland after taking control of the aircraft while the pilot went to the toilet.

Co-pilot takes control of the plane when the pilot goes to the toilet, then surrenders to police asking for asylum in Switzerland.
After leaving the plane through a window using a rope, the co-pilot then surrendered to police asking for asylum in Switzerland.
Flight ET702 was "forced to proceed" to Geneva international airport after a mayday plea was issued.
Police now have the situation "under control" and there are no injuries to passengers or crew.
The aircraft was on its way from Addis Ababa and was scheduled to arrive in Rome at 4.40am. Instead it landed in Switzerland at 6am local time.
The pilot is reported to have issued a mayday as the plane flew over Sudan.
FlightRadar 24 - an app for mobile devices - showed the flight circling over Geneva several times before landing.
The plane had just 20 minutes of fuel left when it landed.
Sky News's Harriet Hadfield said the airport had not yet opened when the plane landed - and passengers had to wait until it did before disembarking.
She said: "It must have been a very terrifying experience for the passengers on board.
"It seems to have been the case that passengers had to wait until the airport opened. Happily there are no injuries but it must have been a very, very frightening experience."
The airport opened at 7am and is now operating as normal but there have been cancellations and delays.
Ethiopia's information minister Redwan Hussein said: "Our ambassador in Geneva is trying to search information from our passengers.
"They have not yet had the details as to how he managed to get in the plane and who was behind that and what actually he had at his disposal to force the airplane to divert."
Ethiopian Airlines said it was making "immediate arrangements to fly its esteemed customers on-board the flight to their intended destinations".
It is unclear how many people were on board but the Boeing 767 300 plane is capable of carrying 252 passengers.
