Toddler Zhenya was saved by her thick clothing after a day in the snow with her mother Rebecca Ponomaryova, 35 took a near-tragic turn.
The youngster was being pulled on a sledge but the rope broke as they crossed the road.
Unaware, her mother carried on walking and the tot was hit by a reversing car as she sat in the middle of the road.

The pair had been playing in the deep snow in the city of Naberezhnye Chelny in the Republic of Tatarstan, Russia.
Because of the poor weather there was a traffic jam and as they weaved inbetween the stationary cars, the rope snapped.
Ms Ponomaryova crossed to the other side but as she dashed back to help her child, the toddler was hit by a driver who had started to reverse.
He came to rest with the rear wheel stuck on the screaming youngster.
The shocking footage was captured by a car's on-board camera, showing how the mother realised that the rope had broken too late and ran back where she discovered the car on top of her daughter.
Only when she banged on the roof of the car did the driver move forward, allowing the her to grab the terrified child who was rushed to a local hospital.
Incredibly, despite the full weight of the car being in the middle of the sledge the youngster survived without a scratch.
Police spokesman Nahum Andreyev said: "It was probably the thick winter clothing that saved the youngster.
"She didn't even end up with a scratch although she was pretty terrified by the whole experience and has apparently refused to get on the sledge again."
